Tomatoes

The tomato is the edible berry of the plant Solanum lycopersicum, commonly known as a tomato plant. The species originated in western South America and Central America. The Mexican Nahuatl word tomatl gave rise to the Spanish word tomate, from which the English word tomato derived.

Tomatoes thrive in soil with a high humus content that is light and well-drained, and ideally fertilized before planting. Plant tomatoes in the vegetable garden or integrate them into your flowerbeds; they are as decorative as they are delicious! Dig generous holes. Plants should be spaced 50 to 60 cm apart.
